Once inside the stunning kitchen with dining table guests will appreciate the luxury fittings and attention to detail. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything a couple could wish for, and a comfortable seating area with wall-mounted TV completes the living space. There is also a separate bedroom with superbly comfortable bed, and a gorgeous shower room to enjoy. Abbots Reading Suite is surrounded by scenic walks enjoyed by both guests and the local wildlife. It is not uncommon to come across deer while taking a morning stroll. Lakeside itself is home to the famous Lakes Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from the pier, and the views across the lake are breath-taking. Taking the road towards Hawkshead, guests will find themselves in the heart of the countryside that inspired Beatrix Potter to write her famous children’s books and a visit to her former home at Hill Top is a must. Hawkshead itself is a lovely place to explore, with cobbled streets, tiny grammar school and stunning church.
