We loved our stay at Home Farm House. It was our first trip away with our baby and the home was perfect for our purposes an excellent place to cuddle down as well as convenient for getting out and exploring the northern lakes. The property is clean and comfortable we look forward to returning in future.

Like most properties we have stayed in, that attention to detail is missed. We wish that the towels were bath sheet size , something so small but makes a massive difference, luxury advertisements should mean luxury towels not just the accommodation. If you want to get away from the hustle of every day life, Home Farm offers that getaway

We had a lovely family time away, the beds are super comfortable and the welcome hamper was such a nice touch. The large garden allowed our dog to run around and seemed secure, however we kept her on a long line just in case due to sheep in the next field and the house being along a blind bend on the road. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook from scratch, everywhere was clean and the guide provided some nice restaurant and walking recommendations. The hot tub was nice but takes a good 2 hours to get up to temperature, there is poor lighting at night which makes the step down from the tub difficult and could be dangerous. As there is currently only one small light next to the hot tub, it would be better for solar lights placed in the slate plant pots on the flags for better visibility. DONT FORGET TO BRING WOOD! We had one bag supplied which we went through on the first night, we brought 4 more bags of wood from home which was enough for the 3 day stay. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely love to come back next year, thankyou so much

We all had a lovely stay here, there was a small issue with the heating which was resolved so quickly, the owners couldnt do enough. We would love to come back in the summer so we could enjoy the area a little more, winter weather wasnt on our side. Also thank you to Kates husband and father for helping us out the mud, yes were city drivers and got our car stuck in the mud, rookies. Thank you again and hopefully we can get back in for the summer!

We all absolutely loved our stay at Home Farm Cottage, it was a home away from home. We were greated with a beautiful hamper from Kate and the team filled with a lovely bottle of white wine and local treats which was a very personable touch. Very nice cottage, well furnished and spotlessly clean. Great location, minutes off the main road but really peaceful. The garden was a good size, too wet to use sadly. The downstairs bedroom had bedding that wouldnt stay on which was a bit annoying, no problems elsewhere though. The bathrooms were all great. Close to the Rheged Centre, Penrith, Pooley Bridge and Keswick. Very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Beautifully appointed cottage in a fantastic location for touring the Lakes. The beds were sumptuous and the baths and showers luxurious. Our dogs both loved the lovely large garden that was full of birds. The highlight of the week was the little red squirrel that visited us everyday for hazel nuts very kindly supplied by the owners. The property was just about perfect! The only two things we would suggest to improve it were a a roasting tin to cook in the oven b some small hooks in the bathrooms to hang up clothes, shower hat etc.

We had a couple of issues at the time of year we went. The first was that bringing the sheep down close to the house meant the house was full of flies. I mean, so many flies This can be avoided by not going in the height of summer I guess! Secondly, the garden is NOT dogproof. If you have a dog who likes to escape then there are a ton of holes evidenced by waking up to sheep in the garden!. This meant we had an anxious week worrying our dog would escape into the sheep field and cause issues. In the end, we kept him on a lead all week, but still, not good and much of a worry to my mum. The beds were wonderful, the house itself was lovely, and the location was perfect. I just can't in all conscience give the place a 5 given the flies but most importantly the fact that we booked this place as a dogfriendly venue. I would recommend maybe a nonsummer stay... maybe when there are no sheep, and maybe without bringing the dog.

We had the most marvelous stay at Home Farm House. Kate was so easy to communicate with. The place was just as lovely as the photographs on the listing and each of us loved our bedrooms. The garden was so beautiful as were the fields surrounding it. The place was so clean and had everything we could want. We definitely hope to return for another wonderful stay.

Amazing stay at home farm house. Such a beautiful location and house. The garden was big and clean and perfect for the kids and dog! Lots of Easter egg hunts! the house was really clean, great size, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen! We loved it. Brilliant location for seeing all of the Lakes. Easy access to everywhere. Really quiet peaceful road only the sound of sheep and birds bliss. Thank you so much. Only note that doesnt need publishing could have done with tea bags coffee milk for when we first arrived was a long journey! And more dishwasher tablets and bin bags.

Home Farm House was perfect! The location enabled the family to visit the north lakes with ease and then escape back to rest and tranquility! We were all impressed with the attention to detail all rooms were presented with care and colours but it still felt homely. The dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden space but I think they also kept the red squirrels at a distance. Hoping to book another stay next year, highly recommended. Wonderful cottage with perfect facilities for us. Comfy beds and pillows and beautiful rooms. Loved the log burner. We saw red squirrels in the garden and more pheasants than we knew possible. Just love the Lakes and scenery. Thank you for everything especially the bubbles for the newly engaged.

I was lovely returning to the cottage to spend sunny afternoons and evenings in the peaceful garden Ruby especially loved it. Hopefully we will return!
