This two-storey beauty sleeps 10 guests comfortably and offers stunning views across open fields from your private hot tub. Set in peaceful grounds with communal woodlands and open fields to explore, this accommodation gives you room to breathe. A 20-minute walk takes you into town for supplies or a cheeky pint. The decked area is perfect for summer evenings - glass of wine in hand while the kids run wild (within reason). And when British weather does its thing? Light the woodburning stove and get cosy inside.

The accommodation features five king-size bedrooms (three can be converted to twins), with three en-suites plus a family bathroom. The kitchen-diner has everything for proper meals and there's a separate utility room for all that outdoor gear. This was our 4th stay at Beech Cottage and didn't disappoint again. Fantastic location, gorgeous rooms and an amazing view and perfect for a large group getaway.

We stayed at woodland cottages for a long weekend for my husbands 60th, along with our children and grandchildren and my mum. So 4 generations and each of us had a fabulous time and were extremely comfortable. You are given access to the website after booking, which is very informative and well set out. The cottage was beautiful 5 bedrooms all equally good sizes, 3 with ensuite facilities. Hot tub was lovely easily accessible, each member of tye family took full advantage of. The kitchen is well equipped with literally everything you could think of. You are left tea bags. Coffee. Milk etc to get you started on your arrival. Great quality eco friendly cleaning products. The log burner is fabulous as it did get a little chilly at night and gave a lovely cosy feel. The beds were all very comfortable with clean linen. There was one staff member onsite that weekend who could not have been nicer and more helpful. He really is a credit to the team. We stayed in beech cottage which I think seems to have the best views of the countryside etc We had sheep. Deer, rabbits, squirrels and a multitude of different birds all around the cottage. Which my grandchildren loved. We went into bowness and windermere which is literally a few minutes in the car or half an hour walk. Bowness is a beautiful little town with lots to see and do. I can't recommend enough thanks oak team for making our memories all that more special

We were a group of 9 family & friends celebrating 2 65th birthdays. The cottage was very comfortable & very well equipped. We relaxed in the hot tub every day but thought it was dangerously close to the edge of steps down into garden. One of the ladies did have a fall, fortunately she was not hurt! We had a couple of walks into BownessonWindermere for shopping & eating out. We had a wonderful stay & will definitely return

We really loved Beech Cottage. A fantastic location for walking, literally out of the front door onto public footpaths, and also really convenient for Bowness, Ambleside and heading further out into Cumbria. We would love to go back again.

The location was convenient and Windermere, easily accessible, adding to the overall positive experience. The rooms were kept impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay for all. Although there was an initial issue with a leaking toilet, it was promptly addressed upon reporting. Overall, the place was close to perfect, and offered a memorable experience.

We had a pleasant stay, but aspects of the cottage were quite 'tired. ' There was room for improvement with the cleanliness. For instance there was a tampon and some socks under drawers in a bedroom, loose change under the table in the lounge, plus a number of cobwebs.

Excellent property, everything we wanted for a wonderful break. The hot tub with amazing views was fantastic. We would like to thank the owners for being extremely accommodating when we needed to change our dates due to a sudden bereavement.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Beech Woodland Cottages. There was plenty of space for the five adults and four children in our party. The facilities were great, well appointed and comfortable. The location was very peaceful with wonderful countryside views out the back. It was nice and close to Bowness, which is right on Lake Windermere and near to many amazing Lake District attractions. The only slight issues were the lack of a safe walking route into Bowness, its fine for adults but we didnt want to walk with the children. Also, the hot tub is amazing but you cant see the view when youre sat in it! These are minor gripes, we had a wonderful time and have already recommended to friends and family!

All guests were happy with their holiday our party all over sixty so walk into centre was a bit of challenge but done us good, definitely book woodland cottages again.

We found this a perfect holiday destination, the stunning views every morning were a joy, to sit there with a morning cuppa. We found the cottage clean, user friendly with everything there you would need, even down to a dish cloth. The staff on hand were friendly and informative, the.morning alarm clock of sheep bleating, to sleeping listening to owls hooting, was fabulous,we are looking to re book....fabulous holiday

A lovely, quiet place to stay! Facilities are well looked after and everything is kept to a high standard, including cleanliness! We loved staying here and would highly recommend to anybody who is looking for a relaxing stay! The cottage is situated within a close drive to BownessonWindermere and is a great location for anybody looking to explore the whole of Lake Windermere.

We had a wonderful stay at Beech Cottage, the cottage itself was very comfortable and cosy with the fire. The kitchen was well stocked with utensilspots etc. The owners had taken on previous feedback and there is soap in all bathrooms. The showers were very powerful which was great, there was always enough hot water for us all to shower in the morning. The location was ideal for exploring surrounding towns and national trusts, as well as being able to explore around the cottage. The fire alarm was set off by the neighbouring cottage the first 2 nights but this was quickly managed and someone was sent down to investigate. The free firewood was a kind gesture for the inconvenience. Thank you for a relaxing stay and we look forward to visiting again,

Loved our stay, 4 out of 5 stars. Positives The hot tub was great. The setting was stunning with fantastic views and lots of wildlife to observe. The ducks were fun coming to visit you and even having a walk around the kitchen. The cottage was lovely and comfortable. Beds were great, very comfy. It was quiet apart from one evening when one cottage broke the rules and were noisy in the hot tub and partying till early hours there's always one ignoramus. Internet WiFi was generally good 30 Mbps but dropped out now and then. Reconnecting resolved the issue. Negatives There was mould growing in some of the bathrooms and one of the bath plugs was broken. The fact that you pay 1.6 to 2.5k prices and then are expected to gather the linen and towels holidays are to get away from housework. I feel it's a bit cheeky to be asking as that's what you hire staff to do. Even a Travelodge doesn't expect you do strip linen, however a minor annoyance and didn't take long. Minor criticisms but overall fantastic Thank you

A lovely, quiet, comfortable cottage with a glorious outlook from the large picture window, suitable for a multigenerational family holiday. Located within walking distance of Bowness for the fit and able and with easy access to the fells. The hot tub is a real bonus. It kept the youngsters happy. This is our second visit to The Oaks and we can really recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at Beech Woodland. It was a family celebration with ages ranging from 1 to 62 and it suited us all. There was plenty of room and a good layout. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We would stay again.

Great accommodation, this was my 2nd time to this cottage. Decor is modern but keeping with the surroundings. cleanliness is brilliant! Hottub is a massive plus and inclides extra towels. Nice touch with fairy liquid, dishwasher tabs etc thank you again. Only downside is Wifi isn't great and a telly in each room would be better. Would definitely return

We have just spent the weekend in Beech cottage as a group of 10 friends and it was the perfect accommodation. The cottage is much bigger than it looks in the photos and the views are even better in person! It is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Car is a must for the location but only a few minutes drive into Windermere. No complaints at all. Thankyou!

Fantastic cottage. Lots of attention to detail paid in the decoration and furnishing. Everything feels very comfortable, and looks lovely. Looked even better than the pictures. Really enjoyed the hot tub, a good size, and the views are brilliant. Will look to come back! The only complaint we had was with the windows. They're very drafty, so the living room is always quite chilly, even with the heating on.

Lovely lodge in need of some TLC , inside carpets were dirty in bedrooms and under cushions of sofa were very dirty with bits of crisps n debris from previous guests . The sofa should be replaced as cushions were sinking and very worn . Beds were comfortable and showers bathrooms were clean . Outside area was clean and tidy . Not sure Id pay same again as stayed in much better lodges for same money.

Beech cottage was finished to a very high quality. It was a beautiful property and all the family, 6 adults and 2 grandchildren, were exceptionally pleased with the accommodation. The play area outside the cottage was smaller than expected but the children made friends with others in nearby cottages and all had great fun. The only downside was the over the bath shower in the downstairs bedroom which meant that my husband found showering extremely difficult but in fairness to the owners the bedroom was not advertised as an accessible room. Otherwise this was a wonderful break and an opportunity to make memories with our whole family.

This is our 3rd visit to Oakes cottages and we have again had a lovely holiday. The cottages are really clean, comfortable lots of space and set in beautiful woodland surroundings. Bowness is a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes drive away. The team are friendly and helpful, any enquiries or a general chat the staff team are happy to offer help and advice. The hot tub is perfect after a busy day visiting places in lakes, and the log burner kept us really warm in the evenings. I would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully we will be able to visit again soon.
