Troutbeck Lodge is a modern 2-bedroom lodge perched on the riverbank in Limefitt Park, Lake District. The peaceful beck-side location offers stunning views across fields and mountains. This comfortable retreat sits in a prime spot, with a large deck overlooking the water where robins often visit and horses sometimes graze across the stream. Perfect for those wanting to escape without being too far from civilization.

Set in the gorgeous Troutbeck Valley, you're surrounded by spectacular walking country. The park has its own walking trails starting right behind the pub. When fighter jets occasionally zoom overhead (quite a sight!), the dog field provides an excellent viewing spot. After soggy hikes, return to your cosy base - just 5 miles from Ambleside and 8.7 miles from Kendal, with Windermere's attractions a short drive away.

The lodge sleeps 4 in two bedrooms - a master with king-size bed and en-suite shower, plus a twin room with wall-mounted Smart TV. The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. The open-plan living area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and slow cooker. WiFi included, though not for Netflix marathons!

Explore the World of Beatrix Potter (15 minutes), take a Windermere Lake Cruise (20 minutes), or visit the historic Roman fort at Ambleside (15 minutes). The on-site Haybarn Inn serves decent foodand you've also got the Queens Head in Troutbeck.

Troutbeck Lodge stands out for its large 6-seater hot tub - absolute bliss after a day's hiking. Nothing beats sipping wine in bubbling water while watching the stream flow by. The hot tub gets checked daily, so it's always clean - unlike some of those dodgy hotel ones!
