The cottage itself is all on one level with an open-plan living space. There's a compact kitchen/dining/sitting area with a wood burner and French doors to the garden. The bedroom has a king-size bed and there's a bathroom with shower over bath. Kitchen includes electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Entertainment comes via TV/DVD and CD radio.
Visit Carlisle Castle (10 miles, 20 minutes), explore Lanercost Priory (5 miles, 10 minutes), wander through Talkin Tarn Country Park (3 miles, 8 minutes), or discover the Roman Army Museum (9 miles, 18 minutes).
Dove Cottage offers the perfect mix of rural peace with nearby conveniences. The private fenced garden is ideal for dogs and the shared hot tub is perfect for stargazing. Just note the nearby railway - occasional train noise might interrupt your countryside soundtrack.
