Cottage was loverly but a little tired. Carpets need a cleaning and wooden floor needs oiling. The fridge in kitchen desperately needs defrosting and a light bulb fitted. Knives were blunt couldnt cut anything! Views from side were fabulous however a roller blind would be good for privacy at night. The top entrance was loverly but with two dogs we could not sit out and a gate here would ensure they were secure at all times and you could enjoy the tranquility. Caravans very near but quiet and absolutely no problem. Great location for good pub meals and a Co op for last minute shopping. The suggestions I have provided would greatly improve the holiday.

Beautifully quiet and clean cottage, with the basics you need teamilkcleaning & toiletries added bonus of slippers and robes. The hot tub was lovely and warm and well maintained could do with a some screening round the railings parking the car in line with the tub worked for us, to create privacy from the caravans opposite. Good location and dog friendly. Lovely to watch all the swallows flying around from the balcony, especially early morning and evening

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at apple tree cottage! Hot tub was a lovely bonus after long walks around the Lake District. An easy hours drive to Keswick Windermere. The cottage is in a quiet, remote location overlooking fields with livestock and horses. A great place to unwind. Would recommend.

Cottage was lovely and would stay again. Cleanliness was okay could be better with furniture being moved to clean and some floors didnt seem to be hooveredswept. Bathrooms and hottub were clean. The hottub was a great however there isnt great privacy whilst in the hottub as those staying in the static homes on the site could walk past and see into the patio area. There are two enclosed patio areas upstairs and downstairs however no grass area you can let dogs off lead at unfortunately. This is a semi detached cottage with the main house however you couldnt hear anything with this be a working farm. All in all a great stay.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Appletree Cottage. The place is beautiful, spotless, and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. The views are stunning the kind you can happily sit and stare at for ages. We loved every minute, and even the dog had the best time exploring and settling right in. Absolutely stunning cottage, we had such a lovely stay. The bed is lovely and comfortable, the kitchen has every utensil you could possibly need. Tea, coffee and milk was waiting for us on arrival. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing. The hosts made sure we knew they were there if we needed anything. The caravan park the cottage overlooks is very quiet and certainly doesnt affect the stay in any negative way. Were already looking into a stay for next year at this same cottage.

We stayed at Apple tree cottage for a week myself, my partner and 2 children 12 and 7 and our dog, we had a lovely week, the girls absolutely loved going to see the horses every morning and every evening , the cottage was very clean and very comfortable and the hot tub is always and added bonus. Beautiful cottage very spacious, everything you need for a stay is provided, stairs were a little steep for us being older, Hot tub is a blessing after a long day exploring, Most places of interest are not more than a hour away, so a good base to explore from . The cottage is set on a working farm but you wouldnt know this , views are amazing from the living room especially. Overall I would highly recommend apple tree cottage.

A lovely cottage with everything you need for a short break. We had a lovely stay at Apple Tree Cottage. My one area of criticism is that although the outside area is enclosed it is not enclosed for small breed dogs miniature daschund size at least who could escape through the metal stairs. Although this was inconvenient as we couldnt let the dogs out while we were in the hot tub we still had a nice stay.

Lovely cottage, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, peaceful and tranquil, isolated from any hustle & bustle. Excellent quality fixtures& fittings to a high standard. Hottub at proper temperature which was great. Pics 1, 2 & 30 misleading as that's a Fire Exit into an inaccessible gated off part of the property, not a main entrance as suggested.

First impression was not great , no privacy on a caravan site NOT next to one as noted in the listing . No privacy , The property should have been listed showing the relationship of the cottage and what the surroundings are, ie a view from the balcony overlooked by at least 10 caravans to manage the customers expectations , Overall the property was really comfortable once inside , the outside space around the hot tub needs some attention as does the hot tub itself . The property itself is great . The location is a good one but the listing needs to be more transparent . No welcome pack and didnt meet the owners so no comment on that .

Stayed in this lovely cottage from 3rd March to Friday 8th March for my birthday week with my family. Comfortable and clean, plenty of space, very comfy beds. The hot tub was lovely in the evenings. Had everything we needed, great views into the countryside. Perfect base to visit Windermere, Penrith, Kendal, Kirby Stephen, Keswick. We had beautiful weather and had a lovely time. The farm shops around this area are great! Would recommend this cottage which is on a farm. Would definitely visit again. Thank you!!

Apple tree cottage is an amazing property, with breathtaking views the likes Ive never seen. The owners have put a lot of thought into providing a home from home. With every need catered for. It is part of a static caravan park, and as mentioned a working farm. But dont let that stop you from staying at this 5 property. Around a 10min drive to the nearest shops.

Absolutely fantastic cottage. Everything we needed & more. The hot tub was so inviting after a days walking. Beds comfy, good quality duvet. Really enjoyed our stay here, we were sad to leave.

Apple Tree Cottage was absolutely lovely, great place to stay, lovely, clean & spacious, the hot tub was great after a day out. Lovely views over the mountains, Kirkby Stephen is a lovely village our dogs loved to visit the river for a swim under Franks Bridge, plenty of Shops, Coffee Shops and Tea Rooms in the village. We have already booked Apple Tree Cottage again for next year. Looking forward to it already.

Lovely clean cottage with everything needed and a few extra nice touches, such as milk and eggs. Beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was so relaxing, and the robes and slippers were a nice surprise. The tv channel choices were extensive and again unexpected, so plenty to watch on an evening. Cooker took a bit of working out,, as I had it on defrost, but we got there after reading the manual, same for the electric hob, if like us you have a gas appliance at home, dont try and wing it. The only thing missing for us, was a gate to close the front entrance off. Only because we took our dog, a husky, and couldnt leave the door open on a hot day evening as she would run off, so we couldnt risk opening the front door to sit outside in the sun on a morning. There was still 2 other doors to open when it was hot, as they are safely barricaded off to the outside. There are a few owner owned statics, one of the owners introduced himself, he was lovely, and gave us an insight into how the cottage was built, and assured us everything was very safe, gave us tips on local places to visit. So a lovely relaxing break we had, and the first cottage we have ever booked to stay at as it wasnt expensive.

Stayed here for a week's hiking holiday. Cottage is spacious & comfy with well equipped kitchen and two nice bedrooms. We went hiking everyday & it was great to come back at end of each day & enjoy the hot tub. If the weather is bad, although we didn't use them, there are lots of board games provided in cupboard. Only slight negative was some of the kitchen utensils & cutlery were dirty, we had to wash them before use but apart from that, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay here. There are some static caravans next to the cottage & we spoke to a few of the owners who had been there 16 years and very friendly.

Fantastic well equipped and comfortable cottage,only let down with the cleanliness of the place. Attention to detail is needed.High gloss Kitchen frontals all smeared,tiled areas of shower grubby and grout dirty.After five days hot tub smelt like a pond.I never saw the water in this being checked or tested all the time we stayed!.We did have a great holiday in the cottage but i feel it would have been much better had we not come across these small points that are all easily rectified!.
