From Penrith, Bampton is approximately 7 miles and the roads through the Lowther Valley are quiet and scenic. On-road parking is available 100 yards from the cottage and off-road parking is at the Memorial Hall 150 yards away.
The nearest mainline station is Penrith, which sits on the West Coast Main Line with regular services from London, Manchester and Glasgow. From Penrith it is approximately 7 miles to Bampton and a local taxi is the most practical way to complete the journey.
