Located at the southern tip of Lake Windermere, you're perfectly positioned to explore. The Lakeland Motor Museum is literally on your doorstep (0 miles!). Fancy a nostalgic steam train ride? The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway is just 1.5 miles away. The location is so good you might not use your car all week - though there's parking for two if you do. And after a day of Lake District adventures, you'll need somewhere to soak those tired muscles...

The accommodation features a light, airy lounge with wood burner, fully-equipped kitchen with all mod cons and a dining area with bi-fold doors opening to the garden. This cottage was just what we needed - cozy and fully equipped. We even cooked a proper Sunday roast since the pub was shutand it was a breeze. The location is spot-on for exploring the lakes; we visited Kendal, Grasmere, Cartmel, Conistonand Windermere, all within easy reach. The owners are lovely, living next door but never intrusive. They’re helpful if you need anything, but give you plenty of space. Would definitely stay again!
