The accommodation features two bedrooms - a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower and a twin serviced by the main bathroom. The open-plan living space includes a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, dining area seating six and a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV and WiFi. Clean and comfortable. Bed comfy and hot tub clean and in good working condition. We had everything we needed for our stay. We met the owners who were welcoming and had good suggestions for our visit. Cartmel very close by with many food and drink establishments. Lovely quiet location with lots of birds, and bats could be seen later in the evening. Lodge a little warm for my taste, but could be cooled by opening windows and doors.

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, they met us upon our arrival and went through some helpful details with us. I think they should update the main lodge photo as it definitely looks more appealing now, with more greenery. I would stay again definitely.

Mark and Helen were amazing hosts. They popped in for a little greet and meet to show us how to use the hot tub and recommended some places to visits. The lodge itself is outstanding. It's the biggest we have stayed in. The hot tub was a lovely feature to really relax in the evenings. The kitchen had everything you need, with local pubs in Cartmel less than 5mins drive away. The pig and whistle was our favourite! The location of the lodge is ideal we visited many places throughout the day. Definitely recommend parking at lakeside and jumping on the boat to Bowness. Overall we couldn't fault Fern Lodge! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The lodge was absolutely lovely. Couldn't fault anything. The location was so peaceful but perfect for exploring the area. The lodge was beautifully done and had a real homely feel. Kitchen lovely with everything you need. We had the loveliest time here and would stay again. Lovely couple, who showed us how to use the hot tub and gave local walk and eating recommendations. The lodge is a great size even with all our travel cots etc. The outdoor area that comes with the lodge was great, including the enclosed garden at the back with the hot tub in. Helen and her husband were friendly and answered any questions we had. The caravan site was quiet and clean. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time staying at Fern Lodge. It was an excellent space for our family of 4 to base ourselves whilst exploring the Lake District. The lodge is well designed and furnished to a high standard. There are lots of spaces outside the lodge to relax in comfy chairs to soak up the sun. It was spotlessly clean too. A good soak in the hot tub in the private garden was the perfect end to each day. We would highly recommend Fern Lodge!
