You're a 15-minute stroll from Cartmel's famous sticky toffee pudding and racing events, while Grange-over-Sands (the locals' secret gem) is just minutes away. The quiet setting lets you properly unwind after days out exploring Holker Hall, Grizedale Forest or the Arnside & Silverdale AONB.

The accommodation features two bedrooms - a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower and a twin serviced by the main bathroom. The open-plan living space includes a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, dining area seating six and a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV and WiFi. Everything's on one level, making it accessible for everyone.

Kitchen lovely with everything you need. We had the loveliest time here and would stay again. Lovely couple, who showed us how to use the hot tub and gave local walk and eating recommendations. The lodge is a great size even with all our travel cots etc. The outdoor area that comes with the lodge was great, including the enclosed garden at the back with the hot tub in. Helen and her husband were friendly and answered any questions we had. The caravan site was quiet and clean. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time staying at Fern Lodge. It was an excellent space for our family of 4 to base ourselves whilst exploring the Lake District. The lodge is well designed and furnished to a high standard. There are lots of spaces outside the lodge to relax in comfy chairs to soak up the sun. It was spotlessly clean too. A good soak in the hot tub in the private garden was the perfect end to each day. We would highly recommend Fern Lodge!

Im reluctant to give a good review as I dont want more competition to book this fabulous lodge in the future! The lodge is spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated and designed. The exterior is in our view better than the pictures suggest with the location of the lodge perfect for evening sun and very private. The hot tub is an excellent addition. The lodge location is spot on a quiet location on the outskirts of Cartmel which has so much to it including a great breakfast and cheese shop!. Helen and Mark are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. On top of all this, the sun shone all week! If youre looking for somewhere to stay for a family of four in the south part of the Lakes, youll struggle to find a better lodge than this.
