The accommodation is split between the main house and an annexe. The main house has 10 bedrooms including family rooms, super-king and king-size beds (some zip/link for flexibility). Six bathrooms mean no queuing for the loo in the morning. The annexe has three more rooms plus its own kitchenette and woodburning stove. The massive farmhouse kitchen has two dishwashers (thank god) and two ovens for feeding the troops.
Fancy a day out? High Force Waterfall is just 5 miles away (15 minute drive) - England's largest waterfall. Barnard Castle is 10 miles (20 minutes) with its medieval fortress. The Bowes Museum is there too with its famous mechanical silver swan. Hamsterley Forest is 17 miles away (30 minutes) with mountain biking trails and walks.
Heatherbrae is ideal for multi-generation holidays where everyone from toddlers to grandparents can find something to enjoy. The hot tubs, games room with pool table and snug with woodburner mean even rainy days are sorted.
