Woodland Retreat is a single-storey lodge tucked away in a wooded corner of the Lake District. This private woodland spot offers total seclusion for your holiday with wildlife right on your doorstep. Guests often spot deer wandering past while they're soaking in the hot tub. It's the perfect base for exploring Windermere and Ambleside.

The lodge sits in a quiet part of a holiday park with wraparound decking that's completely surrounded by trees. You'll feel miles from anywhere despite being just 1 mile from shops and having a pub on site. The hot tub is completely private - nobody can see you when you're having a cheeky midnight dip (though technically you should stop at 10pm).

Inside you'll find an open-plan living space with a smart TV and WiFi that actually works. The kitchen has everything - oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There are two double bedrooms plus a bunk room that's perfect for kids. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and there's an extra cloakroom too.

The Lake District's best attractions are all nearby. Lake Windermere is just 0.6 miles away for boating and swimming. Ambleside town is perfect for shopping and dining. Grizedale Forest offers amazing walking trails. And the World of Beatrix Potter is great for families.
